'Gentlemen Prefer Blondes'?

Well as we all know men do not just go fro blondes, and Jane Russel was proof of this! It is sad to report that this beautiful brunet has passed away at the age of 89. However at Polestars we do not want to reflect on the sad, rather we want to celebrate this wonderful pin-up’s life!

Jane Russel shot to fame in the 1940’s as a pin-up model and movie star – her first full length feature being Howard Hughes’ The Outlaw. She most famously starred alongside Marilyn Monroe in Gentlemen Prefer Blondes in 1953. Jane’s career began to fade, after two decades in the limelight, in the 1960s. Yet she has, and always will, lived on as a cult heroin, continuing to advocate style, fame and glamour (the big three in our opinion!).

Jane Russel remained active within her local church and community throughout her latter years. She will remain a true inspiration for all women throughout years to come!
