May - Charlotte
Charlotte is twenty-one and teaches burlesque, dirty dancing, street dance and 70's.
Different day job: English Literature student, bartender and kids' dance teacher!
Why you started teaching: I've been dancing since I was six years old, and my mum is a dance teacher too so I guess it runs in the family! I love working with people and find it really rewarding to see my students performing what I have taught them. For me the whole point of dancing is to have fun, and I began teaching because I wanted to share my love of dance with others. Dancing leaves you feeling so happy and confident, and is such a fun way to keep fit, I just think everyone should do it!
Fave song to dance to: Anything from Chicago or Cabaret. I prefer the sexier musicals to the cheesy ones! Alternatively when I'm out, I like to dance to ska and rock music.
Fave song to burlesque dance to: I would imagine the theme song from the TV series 'TrueBlood' would be awesome to do a burlesque dance to; 'Bad Things' by Jace Everett. It's just so dark, you could get a really sexy vampire theme going on...
Fave food: Italian - pizza, pasta, yum yum yum. Also I'm completely addicted to chocolate!
Fave film: Scott Pilgrim vs. the World was pretty amazing. I'm a bit of a geek so like geeky boys in geeky films.
Most memorable teaching moment: Seeing the kids I teach perform my dances in a show brilliantly!
