Another month and another intermediate burlesque troupe have performed on the stages of Madam Jojo's 'Finger in the Pie night'. The luscious 'Take It To The Macs', led by London teacher Tempest Rose strutted across the stage and wowed the crowds with their saucy routine. Polestars would like to say a big congratulation to Polestars student Fabia Cerra for doing so well in Britain's Got Talent. Love or hate the show, it had the nation gripped to the very end. The simply divine Fabia managed to get through to the semi-finals of the show, beating millions who auditioned, and gave us a thrilling, sexy and energy filled performance. See her performance here. Poleoke is a fabulously new and exciting monthly event in Brighton, where pole enthusiasts and fans have the chance to show off their new skills.

 

So exactly what is Poleoke? It is a bit like karaoke for dancing (no singing here!). Ever found yourself at a club dancing as cheesily or as sexily as you can? Of course you have. Now you can do it in front of an audience, with a dance pole! You don't need any pole dancing experience at all. It's for everyone - all shapes, sizes, ages and genders!

 

The next Poleoke night is on Saturday 18th July at Latest Music Bar, Brighton, and Polestars have a pair of tickets up for grabs. Polestars are always on the look out for the latest dance and fitness craze and this autumn we will be bringing you - Hula Hooping! Yes, Hula Hooping - its not just distant memory from your childhood anymore. Using adult sized weighted hoops, Hula Hooping treats your body to a full work out, targeting your abs, bottom, legs and arms. Burning up to 100 calories in 10 minutes, it is also great for co-ordination. We will be launching Hula Hooping classes this autumn in London only, so get yourself on the waiting list by emailing email info@polestars.net.

 

 

 

Polestars understand that everyone is feeling the pinch at the moment and that bills and rent come before burlesque classes. However we do want everyone to be able to enjoy the wonders of burlesque, so we have a four week beginner's course up for grabs.
