Tania
Tania is 25 and teaches Street Dance,
Belly Dance, Salsa Dance and Cheerleading in London.
Different day job: I teach dance in after school clubs as well as running drama classes for Stagecoach in Milton Keynes.
How long have you been dancing: I have been dancing since i could walk! I have experience in various styles of dance and have had fantastic oppotunities to dance in the west end, namely at Sadlers Wells and Her Majesty's Theatre. I have performed in a range of public shows as well as in tv commercials.
What do you love most about dancing: I love the freedom it gives me
to express myself. It feels like nothing else matters when i'm dancing and it is when I'm at my happiest.
Why did you start teaching dance: I love to share what i am passionate about with others and it is so rewarding to see the people i teach enjoy my classes and grow in confidence. I truly believe that anyone can dance because it is your own interpretation of how you feel and how you connect with the music. It is incredibly liberating and if you feel the energy and are enjoying yourself then you are a dancer!
Fave song to dance to: Anything with an amazing beat!
Best dancing experience: Performing on stage in the west end!
Best teaching moment: I choreographed dance routines for a group of senior school children and entered them into Dacorum Dance Competition 2010 and 2011. Both years, they won First place.
