How long have you been dancing: since I was tiny, starting with ballet in primary school - good toes, bad toes!!!
What do you love most about dancing: it's a great way to keep fit, release tension, build confidence and express yourself

Fave song to pole dance to: Beyonce (Any, they are all great tracks)
Fave song to burlesque dance to: Christina Aguilera - Nasty Naughty Boy or something by Peggy Lee - she is amazing anyone who hasn't listened to here - go try it now!
Best dancing experience: Obviously teaching with Polestars has always been good experience, but I get the best experience with my girls at Etrois, as their different dancing backgrounds and skills encourage me to try new things, take on new challenges and learn new things myself.
Best teaching moment: teaching girls to go upside down, it's always so rewarding when they achieve this, as they deam it out of their ability.
Most embarrassing teaching moment: forgetting students names - I'm awful with remembering names, and I called a girl the completely wrong name once - it was awful.
Most embarrassing pole moment: getting my hair stuck on my lip gloss when going upside down
Most embarrassing burlesque moment: when my nipple tassle fell off in the finale - it meant a creative covering moment and a cheeky wink - I think I pulled it off!
Fave food: 9 bars (the original)
Fave films: Usual Suspects, Femme Fatal and Burlesque Undressed (the Immodesty Blaize production)
Celebrity crush: Can I choose women who inspire me?? If I can, I'd choose Dita (obviously!) oh and Angelina Jolie - yes I know they are women, but I think they are amazing and as girls are far better than boys, I'm choosing these two icons as my inspirational female crushes!
Hobbies other than dancing: performing, which isn't always dancing, sometimes it's street performing which is always great fun
Personal motto: you can always improve

Hazel Needham
How long have you been dancing: I have been dancing since I was 6, starting this passion of mine in the colourful world of Theatre Dance.
What made you decide to become a Polestars teacher: I love working with Polestars, all the dancers and hen party girls are great fun. I decided to become a Polestars teacher after realising how nice it would be to teach something that I LOVE.
What’s you’re favourite thing about working as a Polestars teacher: My favourite thing about working as a Polestars teacher is getting to meet loads of new people, especially the excited bride-to-be who gets to really let her hair down!
What’s your favourite tune to dance to: I love Mr Vegas- Heads High or anything by Sean paul. I love that kind of Caribbean style rhythm, it makes me want to wind my hips!
Do you have a different day job: I teach various forms of dance- Ballet, Contemporary, Jazz, Rock 'n' Roll, Street and a few more.. oh and I have just become a professional dog walker!
What’s your favourite food: Although cliche- it's got to be chocolate. A Kinder Bueno and a cup of coffee and I'm a happy girl.
What’s your favourite film: The Rocky Horror Show is the Bees Knees
Do you have kids: Nope
Most embarrassing incident whilst dancing: Eep!!! The high kick that ripped the crotch in my costume… DURING THE PERFORMANCE.

Rebecca
Hometown: Newcastle upon Tyne (party central).
Different day job: Chemistry PhD Student.
How long have you been dancing: I was actually a gymnast from a young age, hence dancing just seemed to be a natural progression as I got older and my body changed shape. I have been pole dancing for 3 years, whilst performing burlesque and hoop for almost 2 years.
What do you love most about dancing: After spending each day in a stressful, grimy, science laboratory, dancing allows me to be artistically creative whilst helping me to escape from my intense studies. I am truly ‘free’ when I dance and I love that feeling!
Why did you start teaching dance: Fitness and a healthy, active, lifestyle are my passion so I started to teach to meet like minded people who I could help to inspire with my love for pole and burlesque dancing.
Why do you love teaching at Polestars: Not only are Polestars a super efficient professional team to work with and for, but they really care about your happiness and personal development as an instructor. You feel extremely valued as a member of the company.
Fave song to pole dance to: Well this really depends on my mood! If I want to perform something heartfelt, emotional and full of big tricks, I like to use One Republic ‘Apologise’. However, if I want to take a more flirtatious approach, it has to be Rihanna ‘Rude Boy’.
Fave song to burlesque dance to: Marilyn Monroe ‘I Wanna Be Loved By You’, as I perform my signature Toxic Cherry balloon routine to this gorgeous ‘cheesecake’ song!
Best dancing experience: Performing hoop in front of hundreds of people in a huge Greek amphitheatre in Kos (Summer 2010)
Most memorable teaching moment: A lovely, and extremely shy, lady on my beginners pole course always wore thick tracksuit bottoms to class. I had been very gently encouraging her to try a pair of shorts in order to help her pole grip. I was over the moon when she appeared at the week 5 session in a pair of shorts and 6 inch stilettos ready to climb the pole! This was a confidence boosting moment for my student and a proud moment for me as a fitness instructor.
Most embarrassing teaching incident: Not knowing where to put myself as the music stopped and the friction of a student’s shorts made a rather rude noise as she slid down the pole with her legs straddled!
Hobbies other than dancing: Stilt walking and shoe shopping, but not at the same time.
Personal motto: ‘Pop those hips’.
