Gayle
Gayle is 26 and teaches pole parties and classes and burlesque parties in Glasgow
Hometown: Glasgow
Different day job: Marketing
How long have you been dancing: Since I was a little girl, and Pole for around 3 years
What do you love most about dancing: It makes me happy, keeps me fit and it’s also a great excuse to buy new outfits and shoes!
Why did you start teaching dance: My first ever pole dance teacher encouraged me too, and from the first hen party I took, I was hooked.
Why you love teaching at Polestars: It’s so much fun meeting lots of new people and having a good giggle with all the girls.
Fave song to pole dance to: Muse – Time is running out
Fave song to burlesque dance to: Gwen Stefani - Hola Back Girl – I love military style
Best dancing experience: Performing at my friends launch event – it was a huge success and I found confidence I never knew I had!
Best teaching moment: At a hen party, when the Grandmother of the bride was swinging around the pole, having a great time and showing all the young ones just how it’s done!
Most embarrassing teaching moment: Going over on my ankle in my ridiculously high heeled boots during a little performance to show the girls what they’d be learning. I think everyone felt more at ease after we’d stopped laughing!
Most embarrassing pole moment: While on a holiday recently, my boyfriend and I decided to have a ‘pole off’ in a bar – I think he won lol!
Fave food: Indian
Fave films: Blood Diamond, I cry every time I watch it. Can’t forget 300 too, I just love the muscles!
Celebrity crush: Jared Leto, ever since ‘My so called life’
Hobbies other than dancing: I’ve started making my own nipple tassels! I also do Promotions and Hostessing work.
Personal motto: ‘What’s for you won’t go by you!’ Or when i’m watching what I eat – ‘Nothing tastes as good as slim feels!’
Where we can find you: I’m on Facebook, linked to the Polestars group
