Pole dancer, burlesque artist and comedienne.
Katy is best known as a comedian but is also a fantastic pole and burlesque dancer. She works with The Maydays; award winning musical improv comedy and BAFTA nominated sketch group The Treason Show. She was a finalist at the Comedy Store with Funny Women and simply loves to perform. She has worked for the BBC on several occasions and will shortly be seen in a new series of webisodes called Katy and Rach.
Katy’s burlesque and pole dancing has seen her performing at Miss Pole Dance 2008 (covered by BBC), Assembly Rooms, The Bongo Club, Candy Bar, Komedia, King’s Head Islington, Madame Jojo’s, Latest Music Bar and at many private parties. As well as Polestars she has worked with Pole Passion, Saucy, Sirens, Seven Veils Productions and cult cabaret night Voodoo Vaudeville.
She will be appearing at the Underbelly with Guest Who and at Hill Street for News Brunch at the Edinburgh Festival this year.
Favourite acts of hers include Military Tassel Twirling, a doubles Air Hostess pole act and the glorious comedy Librarian pole act. If you have a particular theme or idea a new act/acts can be designed especially for your event.
