Banish those January Blues |

Hello Polestars,
With Christmas just a dim and distant memory and the New Year resolutions buckling under the weight of expectation it couldn’t be any other month than January. However, don’t let those blues get you down, lets focus on the good things, the summer is closer and we don’t have to pretend to appreciate sodding carols anymore.
For the first newsletter of the year I'm going to keep it brief and to the point. Here is what's coming up this month:

While others may barrage you with 'New Year, New You' messages, I'm not here to patronise you. All I'm going to say is this, if YOU want to get fit and maybe lose a few of those post xmas pounds and don’t want the horrors of the gym, with their chains and shackles approach to memberships, then we might be able to help. We have a new timetable in place full of tasters and courses for you to choose from. No pressure, no guilt trip, just a little help. Fist Dance
Something new that I have to tell you about this month is the 'First Dance' lessons. It’s a little different from our normal parties and is designed to turn a possible embarrassing shuffle round the floor into something all together more accomplished. You can go as extravagant as you want, it's completely up to you, our teacher will work with you to get you and your partner ready for the big day. Burlesque has been in the press a lot of late which has resulted in a large amount of interest in our Tasters and Courses, which obviously we are delighted about. The film itself seems to divide opinion, a number of the professional Burlesque dancers I know would rather pluck their eyebrows with a machete than watch it, however, there are still a large number of people who enjoy it and why not? I mean Cher is in it, I didn’t even know Cher was still fit for public consumption, but it turns out she is, I did hear a rumour that she has had some 'work' done but I can't see it myself ……;
Teacher of the Year We had our AGM recently where we gathered all our teachers up into one place and talked about the past year and the hopes for the future. We also did the annual Polestars Awards, where we gave special credit to certain members of the team who we thought regularly go above and beyond the call of duty. Teacher of the year was Binny from Brighton, Binny has been with Polestars from the beginning and is Polestars through and through. The adjectives that do her justice haven't been invented yet, so I will just say she is blooming brilliant! Love
