The 10 Commandments of Burlesque
Burlesque is more than just dancing. Its a way of life. Follow Polestars 10 Commandments of Burlesque to become a true burlesque beauty!
1. Thou shall always have perfectly styled hair, manicured nails and flawless make up.
2. Thou shall celebrate thy figure - thou shall not disguise but always accentuate.
3. Thou shall have a personal mantra that thou shall repeat to thyself each day (e.g. 'I am a sexual dominatrix!' or 'I am a unique beauty!')
4. Thou shall always wiggle when walking - thou should walk like a star; with poise, grace and confidence.
5. Thou shall always wear stockings (never tights) and well-fitted sexy underwear.
6. Thou shall dress to perfection everyday.
7. Thou must be able to walk in towering high heels!
8. Thou shall have a signature burlesque prop (like Dita's Martini Glass.)
9. Thou shall be polite, charming, elegant and confident at all times.
10. Thou shall learn the art of nipple tassle twirling. (See video)
February & March Special Offer

Polestars Dirty Dancing Parties
Struggling for good ideas for your hen night? Looking forward to a birthday celebration soon? Polestars Dirty Dancing Parties will make the perfect start to a fabulous night. You've seen the film, you know the lines and you've sung the songs. Now learn the dance moves from every womans' favourite film - Dirty Dancing! You can even have your very own boy assistant/Patrick Swayze to practice those dirty moves on! Available in London only.
Can-Can Courses
Our new and improved can-can course is coming to London on Wednesday 15th April @myhotel Bloomsbury (TCR/Goodge Street) 7-9pm and Edinburgh on Wednesday 15th April @ Medina 7-9pm. so make sure you get yourselves booked on for some high-kicking, knicker-flashing fun!

Free Burlesque Class!
Polestars are offering you the chance to attend a FREE burlesque class in London, so if you haven't tried burlesque yet, now is your chance. This class will be held at myhotel Bloomsbury on Tuesday 10th March from 12noon until 2pm. This burlesque taster will be being filmed for Wedding TV so it will be shown on Sky TV.
The burlesque class will give you the perfect chance to see what burlesque dancing is all about. You will learn burlesque style walks, poses and facial expressions and you will get a chance to put your new skills into a saucy burlesque dance routine at the end!
If you fancy giving it a go for free and appearing on camera then get in touch. You will have to book with us in advance to ensure that the class is not too busy. To book your place on this taster please email info@polestars.net. Places are limited so book yours now!

There are only a few places left on the intermediate and advanced pole course and intermediate burlesque course in London, so make sure you don't miss out!

Burlesque Launching in Bromley
After heaps of interest, we will be launching Polestars Burlesque in Bromley. The first taster is scheduled for Monday 20th April @ Star & Garter 7-9pm, so make sure you book on!
Our fabulous Brighton teacher Katy has set up Poleoke nights in Brighton. The next one is on Saturday 21st March @ Komedia Studio Bar
What the heck is Poleoke™? Poleoke™ is a bit like karaoke for dancing (no singing here!), for those who want to have a laugh and show off some of their pole skills that they have learnt. You don't need any pole dancing experience at all as you can have a Pole Jam with the hostess before the event. You will pick from a song from a selection of tunes to dance to. Once you pick one, that’s yours and no one else can strut their stuff to it! Then wait with baited breath until your name is called and dance your little heart out on the stage! A prize is awarded to the most ‘entertaining’ performer of the night. It is the perfect opportunity for you to show off the moves you have learnt to friends and family.
£5 entry/£10 with Pole Jam
Pole Jam 7-8pm – learn and practise a few moves with our pro hostesses before the event 8 till late Tickets available on the door. Teacher of the Month
The teacher of the month for February is our lovely Francesca in Manchester who had a nightmare finding and moving can-can skirts all in time for a hen party that she wasn't even teaching! Well done. You're a star!
